One-day workshop in wheel-throwing

£99

Our one-day beginners' wheel-throwing pottery workshop is an introduction to throwing on the wheel suitable for anyone new to ceramics who would like to try out this skill.

You will learn how to centre clay on the wheel and have a go at throwing some cylinders and bowls.

You can select two of your pots to keep which we will fire and glaze for you. If you would like any of the other pots you have made to be fired and glazed, there is an additional charge of £5 per kilo of fired work (this works out at about £1 for a small mug) plus a technician glazing charge of £5 per item. You will be able to collect your finished work four to six weeks after your course.

All of our friendly and fun pottery workshops take place at our studios located in a historic, listed building at the heart of vibrant Bristol’s Arts Quarter. If you are an experienced potter and want to pursue your own ceramic projects then why not take a look at our members’ pottery studio.

If you are looking for a shorter workshop or something longer or more advanced, then take a look at all the other pottery classes we offer here at Zed Alley Clayhouse in central Bristol.
